Exchange 2000 and OWA on IE8

For life of me I can't get this to work. The exchange server has all it's updates. I use OWA from a windows 7 Pro laptop using IE8 and still get the X when I reply to any email. I used a vista computer with IE8 and same thing happens. I can get the DHTML to come pop-up like it does with windows XP pro and IE8. Sorry for the bad English.
