not impressed
The Linux desktop has taken a distinct downturn. All glitz and zero function. Clumsy, poorly thought-out UI choices. Unity may be the most glaring offender, but the same with KDE. It used to be wonderfully functional, but now it gives me useless "features" like being able to rotate desktop icons ... yet they have ruined the tree selector for Konqueror. It's as if, when M$ came out with its hideous "ribbon" for Office, it inspired all the open-source people to decide that they too would turn everything into a giant ribbon. No! Stop! Quit adding visually pretty garbage and go back to making interfaces useful! Thanks, -= miles =-
