unity

I've been using Ubuntu for years now,and 11.04 kinda worked for me,but 11.10 is like everything is removed from. the settings are so poor they even removed the screensaver. Ubuntu its getting way to minimalistic so now I'm actually already looking for other linux OS out there. How is Jolicloud? is there anyone of you who have test it? Ill say lets make petition in form of Facebook group of something like that. more people join - more people sign it.
